Reduce or get relief from bloating in monsoon season with these superb Ayurveda based remedies!!

Have you ever felt bloated? Have you seen your grandmother take Triphala before bedtime?

Sometimes, there would be excess gas present inside the digestive tract and due to this our stomach would feel full and tight. This would make us feel uncomfortable.

Mostly bloating could be due to excess gas but there are also other reasons for bloating like having certain medical conditions like IBS, celiac disease, due to hormonal fluctuations, due to stress etc.

Especially during the monsoons, bloating can be a common problem for us. There are some Ayurvedic based remedies that could provide a solution for bloating. 

The Ayurvedic remedies are

Intake of warm jeera water:

When we consume cumin seeds then digestive enzymes would be stimulated in us and bloating could be lowered. In the first step, one teaspoon of cumin seeds in water is boiled. In step two, it is strained and consumed after the meals. Digestion would get enhanced by this.

Intake of hing water:

Asafoetida or hinge is a superb anti-flatulent in Ayurvedic medicine. We could drink hinge mixed in warm water or we can also apply it as a paste around the navel. This would remove gas, abdominal cramps, bloating etc.

Intake of Ajwain or rock salt mix:

For bloating problems it would be good to consume carom seeds or ajwain seeds. It is good to chew a pinch of roasted ajwain and rock salt. The combination can be boiled in water and consumed while warm. The trapped gas would be expelled effectively.

Intake of ginger and lemon tea combo:

The role of lemon here is that it would act as a natural detoxifier. The role of ginger is that it boosts metabolism and digestion. In the first step, grated ginger is boiled in water and to it lemon drops are added. This tea must be consumed before and after meals. This would help us to avoid bloating.

Intake of Triphala powder before sleep:

Bowel movements would get regulated by intake of Triphala powder. In the first step, one teaspoon of triphala powder is mixed with warm water and this combo is consumed before going to bed. By this constipation related bloating would not be there. Our overall digestive health would get better.

Intake of fennel seeds after meals:

We could lower bloating by stimulating digestive enzymes by consuming fennel seeds after meals. It would also be good to brew fennel seeds tea for calming the digestive tract and reducing inflammation. By this, gas build up would be lowered.

Intake of buttermilk with rock salt and mint:

Our gut health would become better by intake of buttermilk that is probiotic. Our stomach would get soothed by adding a pinch of rock salt and mint leaves.

Intake of lukewarm water throughout the day:

Lastly, our digestive system would be active and toxins would get flushed out by consuming lukewarm water throughout the day. It must be noted that the cold water would suppress digestive fire during the monsoon. Therefore, warm water would be a better option to reduce bloating.
