Chennai Gold Rate Today – June 1, 2026: Gold Prices Drop Sharply, Silver Price Stable

Gold prices in Chennai recorded a sharp decline in today’s bullion market trading on June 1, 2026. Both 22-carat and 18-carat gold rates fell significantly during the morning trading session, while silver prices remained unchanged across jewellery markets in the city.

As per the latest bullion market update, the price of 22-carat gold dropped by ₹130 per gram and is currently being sold at ₹14,500 per gram in Chennai.

Likewise, 18-carat gold prices also witnessed a decline of ₹95 per gram and are now trading at ₹12,180 per gram.

Meanwhile, silver prices showed no change in today’s market and continue to remain steady at ₹290 per gram.
